EXCHANGE, W.Va. (WBOY) — A man has been charged with multiple felonies after allegedly sexually assaulting a victim multiple times in Gilmer County.

On Aug. 6, troopers with the Gilmer County detachment of the West Virginia State Police were dispatched to Sand Fork Church to assist with a report of alleged sexual assault, according to a criminal complaint.

When troopers arrived, they spoke with a victim who stated that Bobby Cottrell, 47, of Exchange, “had sexually assaulted [them] several times," and troopers transported the victim to the state police detachment to perform a proper interview, troopers said.
