A Massachusetts woman is fundraising for medical bills after a bat flew into her mouth last year.

Erica Kahn, of Westford, said the unwanted encounter happened while she and her father were on a trip to Arizona.

She said on her GoFundMe page that she ended up with three immunoglobulin G shots and four rabies shots.

After her treatment, Kahn's hospital bills totaled over $20,000, according to her fundraiser and reported by The Washington Post and NBC News .
