MURFREESBORO, Ark. – One New York woman completed her mission of finding the key part for her engagement ring after snagging a 2.3-carat diamond at the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas.

About two years ago, Manhattan, New York, native Micherre Fox decided to find her own diamond for an engagement ring. She set out on a month-long break after completing graduate school to search for one.

"There's something symbolic about being able to solve problems with money, but sometimes money runs out in a marriage,” she explained. “You need to be willing and able to solve those problems with hard work.”

She said she was willing to go anywhere in the world to make it happen, researching and finding the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro.
