GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Michigan Attorney General’s Office has announced a new multistate effort to crack down on robocalls.
Operation Robocall Roundup is being led by attorneys general from all 50 states. The Anti-Robocall Litigation Task Force recently sent warning letters to 37 different telecom companies demanding they stop processing “illegal robocalls.”
“Operation Robocall Roundup will help ensure voice service providers do their part to stop illegal robocalls,” Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a news release. “I look forward to continuing to work with the Anti-Robocall Litigation Task Force to protect people from these persistent and intrusive calls.”
