Dame Dash recently had a candid sit-down with The Art of Dialogue where he spoke on his new supergroup called Freeway x The Black Guns. The genre-bending collective includes himself, Freeway, guitarist Tash Neal, drummer Ali Warren and newcomer Nicky Licky .

As his latest creative venture has garnered curiosity, his comments on Nicky Licky caused much conversation as he compared her to the late Aaliyah.

“She’s like if Aaliyah was white,” Dame said, mid-thought, as he motioned for Nicky to join the conversation. “If Aaliyah was white, she’d be a lesbian — that’s her.”
