FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The Washington Commanders kick off their 2025 preseason with a road contest against the New England Patriots Friday at 7:30 p.m., and while there are many players to keep an eye on, there are three we’re watching for very specific reasons.

Even after participating in the joint practice between the Commanders and Patriots on Wednesday, we are expecting cornerback Trey Amos, linebacker Kain Medrano, and running back Jacorey Croskey-Merritt to see action Friday night in the game , while others like quarterback Jayden Daniels are expected to sit.
