Jerry Jones was clear when asked if he is considering trading Micah Parsons after the player requested to leave the Dallas Cowboys. Additionally, the owner joked that a trade isn’t possible because the player is dealing with a back injury.
“I’m not (considering a trade). I don’t really place that with any real seriousness. Micah’s got a bad back. That’s like being traded. That’s negotiation. I’ve heard that so many times in my 30 years in the NFL. Not just from players, but agents.”
Jones has already given contract extensions to Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, but Parsons still hasn’t reached a deal with the team. It’s a very complicated situation with the salary cap, since the Cowboys would have three players earning at least $35 million per year.
