Syracuse, N.Y. - A man was stabbed during a fight on Butternut Street in Syracuse early Friday morning.

The fight broke out near 1236 Butternut St. at approximately 3:12 a.m. Friday, according to Syracuse Police spokesperson Kieran Coffey.

A 38-year-old man was stabbed in his torso during the fight.

He was transported to Upstate University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Coffey said.

Elijah Quantae, 35, of Syracuse, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
