TEWKSBURY, Massachusetts — As the latest Market Basket saga moves toward mediation between the company’s board of directors and embattled CEO Arthur T. Demoulas, a store operations supervisor reported to the board allegations of “discrimination and harassment” by senior executives.

The letter was given to The Sun by a source familiar with the matter. In the letter, Valerie Polito, a 35-year employee of the grocery chain and designated internal investigator for allegations of discrimination and harassment, said she was speaking on “behalf of a group of committed and concerned associates, who, with a unified voice, wish to express a profound and growing alarm over the current state of our Corporate Office environment.”
