Gina Carano is no longer suing Lucasfilm and Disney. The companies settled with the actress on August 7 in her Elon Musk–funded lawsuit over allegations that she was wrongfully terminated from The Mandalorian over her social-media posts in 2021. Naturally, she celebrated the news of the settlement on X. “I want to extend my deepest most heartfelt gratitude to Elon Musk, @elonmusk a man I’ve never met, who did this Good Samaritan deed for me in funding my lawsuit,” she tweeted. “Thank you Mr. Musk and @X for backing my case and asking for nothing in return.” Musk stepped in when Carano filed her lawsuit last February in a federal court in California, pledging to fund legal cases for anyone who gets fired over activity on his social-media platform.
