Park City Council challenger Diego Zegarra was by a wide margin the top fundraiser in the field competing in a primary election on Tuesday, bringing in a little more than $25,900 between cash and in-kind contributions.
The eight candidates in recent days filed their first financial reports of the campaign, detailing their contributors and their expenses, as voters prepare to reduce the field to the four who will advance to Election Day in November.
Zegarra spent a little less than $10,000, leaving him with $15,900 as of the time of the filing. Zegarra’s financial report shows he successfully raised monies as well as the in-kind donations, which typically involve services provided at no charge to the campaign.
