Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Sault Ste. Marie. Hot and humid conditions begin today through Saturday evening with daytime highs of 29 degrees Celsius and humidex values near 36.
The city is making residents aware of facilities that can serve as a cooling spot to find relief from the heat:
Bellevue and Manzo Park Splash Pad (Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.)
Northern Community Centre (Open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.)
Rotary Interactive Fountain at the Downtown Plaza (Open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
Outdoor pools Manzo and Greco (open 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.)
James L. McIntyre Centennial Library (Open Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and the North Branch Public Library (Open Monday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
Northern Community Centre (Open 8
