Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem traveled to Illinois on Friday to slam the state’s Democrats over sanctuary policies, and to highlight four arrests of immigrants who lacked legal status and whom her office deemed the “worst of the worst.”

The visit comes as Gov. JB Pritzker this week nabbed national attention for helping Texas Democrats take refuge in Illinois as Republican legislators in the Lone Star State try to appease President Donald Trump by adding five more GOP seats to their congressional map.

Standing in front of a cache of fentanyl, guns and cash that were recently recovered in Illinois, Noem briefly highlighted the arrests made by the Department of Homeland Security “without the help of the governor or the mayor.”
