A technology issue that caused United Airlines to delay more than 1,000 flights around the United States on Wednesday had only minor impacts to flights into Grand Junction.

Grand Junction Regional Airport Executive Director Angela Padalecki said the final two of United’s flights coming from Denver International Airport on Wednesday evening were delayed, but that it did not cause major issues at the airport.

“Last night, our last two arrivals into the airport were each delayed by a couple of hours, but otherwise we had no impacts,” Padalecki said.

Every day, Grand Junction has six flights to Denver and six flights arriving from Denver. One United flight to Denver from Grand Junction was cancelled on Thursday, but Padalecki said she did not believe it was related to Wednesday’s technical
