SHREVEPORT, La. — The Krewe of Harambee will host its 2025 coronation Saturday at Sam’s Town Casino in downtown Shreveport.

Cynthia Pearson and Judy Madison, from Krewe of Harambee, joined us on KTBS 3 Midday to share what people can expect this weekend.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and formal presentations begin at 8 p.m. The event will bid farewell to the 2024-25 Silver Court Royalty and introduce the 2025-26 Royal Court. The evening will also include the unveiling of the Krewe’s Mardi Gras theme for the upcoming season.

Attendees are encouraged to wear cocktail attire, semi-formal wear or traditional African attire. Tickets are $80 and available at www.kreweofharambee.com or at the door, while supplies last.
