Miami Heat forward Haywood Highsmith underwent successful surgery on Friday morning to repair a meniscal tear in his right knee, the team confirmed.

Team officials said the injury occurred while Highsmith, 28, was training in Baltimore.

They said the procedure, which lasted 35 minutes, was performed by the team’s physician, Dr. Harlan Selesnick, at the Doctors Hospital Surgery.

In 2024, Highsmith appeared in 74 games (42 starts) with Miami and averaged 6.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 24.6 minutes while shooting 45.8 percent from the field.

He set single-season career highs in points, rebounds, steals, blocks, field goals made, three-point field goals made and free throws made.
