Garden season events focus on growing and using produce at Happy Dancing Turtle

PINE RIVER — Two events in August from Happy Dancing Turtle bring the opportunity for people to appreciate the summer season’s bounty.

From 6:30-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, people can take part in a class on food waste reduction to learn tips, share ideas and take part in a hands-on activity focused on using scraps from fresh produce. Cost of the class is $7. To register, go to https://bit.ly/HDTFoodClassAug12 .

The garden at Happy Dancing Turtle showcases a variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers as well as growing techniques. From 1-4 p.m. on Aug. 14, Open Garden time will be featured.
