The first of two 1,600-square-foot Jordanelle Ridge town homes designated under affordable housing regulations are up for grabs. But if you’re not living or working in Heber City — not so fast.

According to Heber City Councilor Scott Phillips and City Manager Matt Brower, it’s first come, first served for employees of Heber City, Wasatch County and the Wasatch County School District. Plus, the deed-restricted homes are available on an income-restricted basis.

Heber City Council last month discussed the feasibility of an 80% area median income limit to qualify for affordable housing. Right now, the AMI is about $115,000 annually.
