CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The national tour of “Hell’s Kitchen” has found its Ali.

Maya Drake, a recent high school graduate from San Jose, California, was introduced Friday at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as the star of the inaugural tour of Alicia Keys’ Tony-winning Broadway musical. The tour kicks off Oct. 10 at Playhouse Square’s KeyBank State Theatre.

Drake, who called the opportunity “a dream come true,” is an alum of Children’s Musical Theater San Jose, where she starred in productions of “Pippin” and “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”

She’ll star opposite Kennedy Caughell, who has been cast as Jersey, Ali’s strong-willed mother. A Broadway and voiceover actress, Caughell previously appeared as Jenna in “Waitress” and as Carole King on the national tour of “Beautiful: The Carole King Musica
