SALEM, Indiana — A southern Indiana man was arrested Thursday after a battered infant was hospitalized.
According to Indiana State Police, on Aug. 4, the Salem Police Department requested ISP's assistance with an investigation after a battered infant was taken to Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville.
During the investigation, state police learned the alleged battery occurred in Washington County on Aug. 2.
This eventually led state police to 20-year-old Trent James Morrow, of Salem. On Aug. 7, a warrant was issued for Morrow's arrest on charges of domestic battery to a victim under 14 and neglect of a dependent causing serious bodily injury.
Morrow was arrested later that evening and taken to the Washington County Jail.
