UTICA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- The judge presiding over the Mid-State prison beating case attempted to set a trial date for the group of officers still facing charges, but conflicting calendars slowed down the scheduling.

Six correction officers individually appeared in Oneida County Court, each charged for their respective roles in the deadly beating of an inmate at the Mid-State Correctional Facility in March and the alleged cover-up.

Thomas Eck, Craig Klemick, Caleb Blair, and Jonah Levi have all declined plea agreements with the special prosecutor's office and are headed for trial.
