How close was Cam Jordan to leaving the Saints after this past season ?

In an interview on "THE SET" podcast with former Saints offensive tackle Terron Armstead, Jordan said it was certainly in play . In fact, a coaching change may have made the difference.

“There was a game last year that I walked off into this tunnel, and I made a phone call, and then the next day we released probably the worst D-line coach I've ever had," Jordan said.

The Saints' defensive line coach last season was Todd Grantham, who was demoted to an advisory role after head coach Dennis Allen was fired. Grantham had been with the Saints since February 2023.
