LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A 78-year-old woman died more than a month after a DUI hit-and-run crash in the southeast valley.

On July 3, at around 7:15 p.m., police responded to a collision at the intersection of Mountain Vista and Rawhide streets involving two vehicles.

Police said evidence at the scene showed a 2003 GMC Yukon was driving south on Mountain Vista approaching Rawhide. At the same time, a 2017 Hyundai Sonata was stopped at a stop sign on eastbound Rawhide.

The Hyundai began entering the intersection, turning left. The collision happened when the GMC hit the left side of the Hyundai.

The driver of the GMC, later identified as Carlos Lee, 41, then got out of his vehicle and ran away from the scene.
