Starting September 1, 2025, Kingston Transit will have a new service that will benefit those who need public transportation through the overnight hours.

According to the City of Kingston’s website, the adjustments will enhance service for current and future customers.

The new overnight service will run from midnight to 2 a.m. every evening. It will connect the Cataraqui Centre to First Canada Avenue (at Division Street) via Brock/Barrie streets, Queen’s University, St. Lawrence College and Kingston Centre.

Other highlights include increased frequency, with more routes offering 15-minute or better service during peak periods, increased access throughout the city to shift workers and others by offering trips beyond typical travel hours and continuing predictable weeken
