EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - An all-night manhunt for the suspect accused of shooting a total of four people, including two East Cleveland Police officers ended with the suspect being captured alive around 8:30 Friday morning.
He was arrested in the 1800 block of Sheldon Avenue near Shaw High School.
Sources identified the suspect as Aaron L. Sharp, who turned 24 years old on Aug. 8.
Police said they have dealt with him in the past.
East Cleveland Mayor Lateek Shabazz said both officers are in stable condition at University Hospitals.
The officers have been identified as Officer Brandon Hernandez and Officer Joshua Durba, 37.
Officer Hernandez has been on the force since December 2024 and Officer Durba has been on the force full time since March 2023
