Adding serviceable depth pieces next to LeBron James and Luka Dončić has been the name of the game for the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason.

The storied franchise successfully brought in two impactful role players in 2022 Defensive Player of the Year winner, Marcus Smart, and former No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Deandre Ayton, on team-friendly contracts.
