Consumers Energy is expected to temporarily interrupt power for about 2,000 homes and businesses in Boyne City as it upgrades equipment.

According to a community announcement, the planned outage is scheduled from 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13 until as late as 7 a.m. the next day. The work is part of Consumers Energy’s Reliability Roadmap, which aims to reduce the number and length of power outages in Michigan.
