A week-long mural festival in downtown Chatham is set to make a colourful return.

CK CanJam, now in its second year, will bring together 15 local and out-of-town mural artists to create large-scale artworks on the walls of businesses and other structures from Aug. 10 to 17.

The event will feature live painting, public art tours, family-friendly activities and community connection throughout the creative process.

Co-organizers Sarah Steele, who is also a participating artist, and Shannon Young both noted the festival is now more on the public’s radar compared to the inaugural year.

“I’m excited. This is far smoother,” Steele said on Tuesday, as they met in front of one of the walls on Llewellyn Street in downtown Chatham.
