Even while their winning play continues on the field, the Milwaukee Brewers keep getting bad injury news away from it.
The latest hit to the Brewers’ health came as Logan Henderson was placed on the 15-day injured list with right elbow inflammation prior to the Brewers series with the New York Mets on Aug. 8.
Henderson, recalled on Aug. 3 to replace Jacob Misiorowski on the active roster as he hit the IL with a tibia contusion, has been excellent in his rookie season, pitching to a 1.78 ERA over five starts.
Henderson, 23, missed extensive time early in his pro career with Milwaukee for arm injuries, including undergoing elbow surgery — though it wasn’t Tommy John.
