SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) — Authorities and relatives are hoping someone knows what happened to Giovanni Pelletier, a North Carolina teen who vanished a week ago while on vacation in Florida.

The 18-year-old hasn't been seen since Aug. 1.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, the teen was vacationing with his family in Englewood before leaving to visit more family in Brevard County in the early morning hours of Aug. 1.

Nonprofit search group We Are The Essentials also continues to look for clues leading to the missing teen. As of Thursday, they had searched for four days covering ground in Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte counties.
