A former Connecticut State Police sergeant who pulled a gun when a YouTuber showed up at his home in Groton in July, leading to a tense exchange that ended with the YouTuber and his cameraman being arrested, was suspended following an internal affairs investigation into the matter.

State police Col. Daniel Loughman issued a statement Thursday saying Fahey’s suspension was unpaid and enforced before his retirement , which was reportedly filed for in May and took effect on Aug. 1. He said the internal investigation was completed on July 24 and sustained “a charge of conduct unbecoming” against Fahey. It was not immediately clear how long the suspension was.
