CHICAGO (WGN) — More than two months after his beloved emotional support dog was stolen, a legally blind Chicago man is still walking the streets in search of him.

Angel Santiago says his 14-year-old tan and white dachshund, Bam Bam, was taken from his backyard near Monticello and Fullerton Avenues in Logan Square on June 5.

Santiago, who is legally blind due to glaucoma, says two unknown people entered through his gate. He tried to stop them and even grabbed one of the suspects, who he believed was a teen wearing long sleeves, but they took Bam Bam.

Bam Bam is microchipped but was not wearing a collar at the time of the theft.

Since the incident, Santiago says he has walked up to seven miles a day distributing flyers and calling out for Bam Bam.
