UNION COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Union County Sheriff’s Office reports three people have been charged with assisting two inmates after they escaped the detention center in July.
The sheriff’s office said it launched a formal investigation after two inmates were located in Georgia after escaping from the Union County Detention Center.
Devin Jake Fisher and Nicklaus Chase Bevis escaped by manuevering between the bars in the holding cells and were arrested in Georgia in a stolen vehicle from Spartanburg.

Deputies report the following three people were later arrested and charged with accessory after the fact to a felony:
