The president of Sarnia’s semi-pro football club hopes a plan to improve Norm Perry Park will help boost the team’s profile.

“There’s more football fans in Sarnia than show up at our games. So I know there’s a lot of people that don’t know still that the Imperials are around,” said team president and chief executive Andrew Barnes.

Signs acknowledging the park as home turf for the defending Ontario Power 5 Football League champions, undefeated this season and hosting this year’s championship game Saturday against the Burlington Longhorns, would go a long way, he said.
