PIERRE, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The South Dakota State Library (SDSL) is inviting South Dakota residents to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary by taking part in “Read 250″, an American history special program.
“Read 250″ or “America’s 250th– A Reading Adventure through America’s History" is a self-paced reading program for all ages.
Participants can track their reading and join activities that will grow their knowledge of American history.
“Reading books is a great way to immerse oneself in American history and celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday,” said State Librarian George Seamon. ”This program is a way to create a community of readers who are interested in American and South Dakota history.”
