A swatting call was made to the home of Terrence Jenkins, best known as the former host of BETs popular music video countdown show 106 & Park, with the caller claiming to have murdered a woman, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed with NBC4 Investigates Friday.

Officers were sent to Jenkins' home in the San Fernando Valley Thursday at around 6:30 p.m. after receiving a call from someone, who claimed he or she had just murdered the mother and tied up the brother, the LAPD said.

Officers, who were prepared to investigate possible homicide, got to Jenkins’ house and learned no one was home.
