The morning of June 18, a Bloomington man found his girlfriend dead, slumped over the side of her bed with drug paraphernalia and a baggie containing fentanyl nearby.
Weeks later, after autopsy results confirmed a fentanyl overdose killed the 34-year-old woman, a man has been charged with causing her death.
Sean G. Svenson, 46, of Bloomington, was arrested Aug. 7 for felony dealing in a controlled substance resulting in death. He is being held at the Monroe County Jail on $100,500 bond.
Svenson also faces a resisting law enforcement charge from June and two other charges — driving while intoxicated endangering a person and possession of a controlled substance — from March.
Court records indicate he has three pending contempt of court charges for not showing up for hearings in those cas
