KINGSTON — A new plan to relocate a Kingston bus route has left some senior residents in the area feeling overlooked, unsafe, and frustrated.

Senior residents are taking issue with a change to bus route 16, which will eliminate its stop at the Norman Rogers Drive and Van Order Drive intersection and move it to a new stop being built along Sir John A. Macdonald Boulevard. Route 2 initially made its stop here, but route 16 has been its temporary replacement until the John A. stop is completed. Route 16 allows residents a line to St. Lawrence College, which can then be used as a connection to get downtown. With the removal of route 16 from the stop on Van Order, those in the area will have to rely on the John A. stop.
