Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum wants individuals’ stories about their experiences in the now destroyed Glencairn Hall.

They’ll be used for a digital presentation on the historic building.

The collection of stories about Glencairn Hall, which was engulfed in an April fire that left the residence beyond repair, was one of several proposals made by members of the town’s heritage committee to commemorate the structure’s significance to the town.

Heritage committee member Alexander Topps said he has talked with museum officials about creating a digital memorial to the structure, but the project could be limited because of a lack of funding. The museum could also feature several of the salvaged items from Glencairn Hall as part of an “Our Story” permanent exhibit.
