FOXBOROUGH — The Patriots’ preseason sale is about to begin.

After a contentious joint practice with the Commanders on Wednesday, New England will begin preseason action on Friday with a matchup against Washington. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m. from Gillette Stadium.

Preseason openers often feature plenty of backups and other players further down the depth chart getting extended looks, but it figures to be a busy night in Foxborough.

Beyond the matchup between New England and Washington, Patriots legend Tom Brady will also get his statue unveiled outside of the Patriots Hall of Fame — with the ceremony slated to begin at 6 p.m.

Even if Drake Maye and New England’s starters only see limited snaps on Friday, there should be plenty to keep tabs on during Friday’s game.
