Vice President JD Vance has been floated as a potential contender for the presidency in 2028 since before he even took office.

On Friday, the Middletown, Ohio, native addressed that speculation on a possible 2028 run while speaking with reporters in the United Kingdom.

“I think my view on the politics of 2028 is I'm not really focused on the election in 2026, much less one two years after that,” Vance said. “If we do a good job for the American people, the politics will take care of itself, so I'm going to try to do a good job for the American people.”
