Thousands of Edinburgh Oasis fans witnessed the moment Liam Gallagher slammed the council in an angry jibe live on stage.

The Daily Record reports Liam launched the attack during Friday night's performance at Murrayfield. The brothers kicked off their three sold-out nights in the city and are set to perform on Saturday and Tuesday night too.

Liam paused the show and made the angry jibe. It comes after the star previously hit out at the council for allegedly calling their fans "old, raucous and overweight".

In an angry statement on stage, he said: "One second. Where will I start here with everyone in the city council sitting on their arses calling us slags.

"We’re bringing a billion pounds to this city over the next three days but you won’t see any of it because the LP is splitting it
