A man remains jailed, charged with aggravated assault, after a Thursday night shooting that left a woman seriously injured in east Lubbock.
Police responding to reports of shots fired at 10:03 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 500 block of East Municipal Drive found 54-year-old Sonia Green suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
She was taken by EMS to University Medical Center, where she was in serious condition.
Through the initial course of the investigation, police believe there was an altercation between Green and 47-year-old Maurice King, who is accused of shooting her.
King was arrested at the scene, initially on an unrelated LPD warrant.
He was taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center without incident. A warrant for aggravated assault, a second-degree felony, was issued for King on Frida
