BARNESVILLE — A man wanted on suspicion of murder out of St. Louis was arrested Friday, Aug. 8, near Barnesville.

At 9:26 a.m., the Barnesville Police Department received a report of a man attempting to change a tire and acting suspiciously at 19633 Highway 34 S., just east of the Interstate 94 overpass, according to a release from the Clay County Sheriff's Office.

A Clay County deputy responded with officers from the Barnesville Police Department. They checked the registration on the vehicle and learned the man, James Emory Minor III, was wanted for murder in St. Louis, Missouri, the release said.

Minor, 46, was arrested without incident and is being held at the Clay County Correctional Facility awaiting extradition to St. Louis, the release said. The vehicle was taken to the Clay Coun
