Anthony Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn has added fuel to the speculation that his fighter will take on YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in his next bout.

As quoted by Sky Sports, Hearn confirmed that Paul is now the 'front runner' to take on Joshua next with the promoter meeting the former's manager Nakisa Bidarian for talks.

The British heavyweight has been away from the ring since losing to Daniel Dubois in September last year and has since undergone elbow surgery in that time.

"This bizarre world that we live in, I think Jake Paul is absolutely the front-runner to fight Anthony Joshua next," Hearn told Sky Sports .

"I'm here in New York for a meeting about that fight. There's open dialogue between myself and Nakisa and MVP (Most Valuable Promotions).
