KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Your time spent on the water this summer could help bring an end childhood cancer. MasterCraft is launching its “ Surf to Save Lives ” campaign for the third year.
Alexa Score has a personal connection to the cause. Before becoming a professional wakeboarder with MasterCraft, Score went through something no child should ever have to experience.
“I was diagnosed with leukemia blood cancer at age 16 and my prognosis wasn’t super clear. They weren’t sure, you know, how long I was going to live, so I had a tough battle as a child,” said Score. “What really got me through my darkest moments was thinking about being on the water.”
