SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Startex-Jackson-Wellford-Duncan water district has issued a boil water advisory after a water main break near a neighborhood in Spartanburg County on Friday.

Officials are asking residents along Stone Drive in the Brookside Village neighborhood to boil their water for a full minute before drinking or cooking.

Officials said they do not believe the water has been compromised. They are simply being cautious.

Customers will be alerted when the problem is resolved with a formal repeal.
