Chester police are looking for a subject considered armed and dangerous following a Thursday night shooting.

Police are seeking Kariem Muhammad, 36, of the city.

Ridley Township Police Lt. John Hamill said that about 10:20 p.m. a woman was driven to the Wawa on MacDade Bourlvard at Bullens Lane in Woodlyn from a shooting in Chester at 21st and Wetherill streets.

Chester interim Police Commissioner Katrina Blackwell said in a press release late Friday afternoon the female victim was treated for gunshot wounds to the upper torso. She was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for further medical treatment.

The victim had been released from the hospital by Friday afternoon.
