Deputies in Hemet arrested five people following an investigation into a shooting that occurred in the unincorporated Valle Vista area on July 19.

At 6:22 a.m. that day, deputies responded to the 24000 block of Balestrieri Road after a victim reported two of their vehicles had been hit by gunfire. Deputies found evidence of the shooting but did not find anyone suffering injuries at the residence or nearby. Video surveillance revealed the shooting took place about 2:47 a.m. that morning.

Video footage showed a white Dodge Charger driving near the scene at the time of the shooting. Deputies identified the vehicle’s registered owner as a family member of Stephanie White, 44, of Colton, who authorities say became a suspect along with her daughter Alexis White, 26, also of Colton.
