Extensive records involving official business that Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey sent from and received at a personal email account were released Friday under a records request filed in connection with the high-profile Karen Read case.

The released records, which NBC10 Boston is reviewing, are 4,102 pages long. They have been redacted.

Read's legal team and lawyers for blogger Aidan "Turtleboy" Kearney had both sought the emails while their cases wound through Massachusetts court system, claiming that Morrissey was seeking to discuss matters in a way that would avoid avoid having to be turned over to defense lawyers or made public.
